Santorini

After Athens, Lori unfortunately had to go home. Missing our friend already, Alyssa and I hoped that Santorini had the cure and hopped onto a ferry (yes, we were there when the cruise ship went down outside of Santorini. No, we were not on that boat... whew). Santorini is so beautiful that it doesn't seem real. Once we got there I looked up and saw the blue and white towns nestled into the cliffs and I felt like we were on a movie set. Santorini is magic. I know that sounds ridiculously schamaltzy, but there is no better way to put it. The people were kind and generous, the island is beautiful and the food is amazing. I fell in love with Greek salads there and ate my weight in the best and juiciest tomatoes ever. Alyssa and I went on a boat tour of the caldera (sunken volcano), swam in the hot springs, laid on both the black and the red sand beaches, saw the sunset in Oia and basically spent 3 days pretending we were in a fairy tale. That's all I have to say about Santorini, I'll let the photos speak for themselves.
